Tracie has an independent clinical practice, running nurse led clinics; on treatment, follow up and research. She also acts as a locum to the Acute Oncology service in her trust.
Prior to working in oncology she was a sister in ITU, working in the UK and overseas.
Tracie advises the gynaecology oncology charities, BGCS Council/commissioning groups and contributes to NICE technology appraisals. She is currently supporting Macmillan on a national level working on implementation the Recovery Package.
Tracie has organised the nursing element for the International Gynaecology Cancer Society (IGCS), the European Gynaecology Cancer Society (ESGO), the British Gynaecology Cancer Society (BGCS) as well as for the NFGON. She has been an invited speaker both nationally and internationally.
Tracie is the lead author of several original scientific papers, (British and International Journals), is a Cochrane reviewer, and author of the International Vaginal Dilator Guidelines and more recently co-author of Consequences of Treatment Guidance on radiotherapy.
She is research active, P.I. on a number of projects and supervising research nurses.
Tracie is passionate about educating both the patient as well as their clinicians to ensure an integrated holistic approach to care.
