Emily is a Gynae-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in the UK specifically supporting women and their families in medical and clinical oncology.
Emily is a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic nurse who is open to challenges which will improve her professional learning. Emily is passionate about nursing and caring for women and their family at a vulnerable stage of their life; and being able to make a positive difference to women at all stages of their cancer trajectory.
Emily qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2007 from St George’s Hospital and Kingston University, and began working as a newly qualified staff nurse at The Royal Marsden Hospital. Emily’s career has progressed at The Royal Marsden and prior to being appointed as a Gynae-Oncology CNS in 2015, she was Ward Sister of a female surgical ward where her interest in Gynae-Oncology began.
Emily has obtained her BSc in Cancer Nursing, and is studying an MSc module in physical assessment and clinical reasoning. This will enable her to develop nurse led endometrial and ovarian follow up clinics; Emily has also set up a CNS led radiotherapy review on treatment clinic.
