Important new study opens to improve sexual function after treatment for gynaecological cancer: SAFFRON

NFGON meetings recently have emphasised the sexual consequences of gynaecological cancers and their treatment. Indeed the NFGON Psychosexual Sub-group was formed to address this aspect of care so that women receive appropriate help and advice to recover sexual function when the impact of the cancer and treatment  on their sexuality may be profound both physically and mentally. Some women do not receive appropriate  advice and help despite there being several potential therapies which can be effective in helping recovery  of sexual activity.
